Storyboard

For our film trailer, our group decided to open with 'Once upon a time'. This is typical of a fairytale, romantic genre and therefore shows this to the audience. We decided to this written in scrpt writing on a plain backgroud, however we then agreed to have the writing on a storybook with the storybook then placed on a enchanted forest backgroud emphasising the fairytale theme even more. After this shot, a shot of an empty school corridor would appear as the establishing shot. This shows our idea of bringing a modern theme to final piece and conveys the setting to the target audience and this is then an environment they would be familiar with. Following this would be a close up of a school bell which again establishes the setting. We then decided to show a medium shot of each 'Princess' showing the audience of the kind of characters within the film but also bringing a variety of shot to the piece. We would show through these shots the friendship between these 3 girls and the lifestyle they have intwinded with captions such a 'They were the girls everyone wanted to be', this will show elements of typical teenage live bringing a sense of familiarity to the audience. Another caption will then follow 'untill' drawing in the audiences attention as they would want to know what would happen next.
Following this would be the first shot of 'Prince Charming'. we decided to use a close up to show what caused these 3 girls friendship to be destroyed. We then chose to show a wider variety of shots showing how the 3 girls fight for the attention of this guy and what extents they will go to to get it. 'This summer' this would be another caption showing when this film would be released however not giving a specific date so then the audience will be more eager to fnd out when the film is out.
Throughout the trailer we decided to show each 'Princess' falling infront of or into the 'Prince' bringing the comical element to the trailer that we have found to be in most modernised fairytales. Other shots following this would be reactions from the girls when they see the 'Prince' with one of the other girls and short snappy shots of what they plan to do as revenge, drawing the viewer in even more.
'He's Mine' the title of the film will then appear, relieving the tension that has built up within the trailer. We decided on this title as it is short and memorable and still keeps curiousity. The final caption will be 'who will get thier happily ever after' this shows the consistancy we have kept to show our fairytale theme and again leaving the audience eager to see the film to see what happens next and if any of the girls finally get their happily ever after.
